 Biography

Kelly Jakubowski was born in Rochester, NY, where she began Suzuki violin studies at age 5. She holds an M.M. in violin performance  from the Ohio State University, and a B.M. in violin performance/ music theory from Baldwin-Wallace College Conservatory of Music. Kelly has performed regularly as a freelance musician at weddings, receptions, and private events throughout the Columbus, OH area. She has performed in the Springfield, Newark-Granville, Central Ohio, Westerville, and Chattanooga Symphonies. Kelly has participated in the Eastern Music Festival (Greensboro, NC) and the Pierre Monteux School for conductors and orchestra musicians (Hancock, ME), where she served as the Chamber Music Series Coordinator in 2008. Her teaching experience includes serving as a teaching assistant for two summers at Hochstein Music School’s Arts in Action Camp in Rochester, NY, a violin class teaching internship at William Cullen Bryant Elementary School in Cleveland, OH, and serving as a counselor/ orchestra manager at the Baldwin-Wallace String Camp. She has taught private violin and viola lessons for over 8 years to a wide variety of students ages 4 to adult.
